Neptune Logistics Group Co, Ltd. is a freight forwarder focused on railway transportation and international multimodal transport between China and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). It’s headquartered in Shenzhen with branch offices in Guangzhou, Tianjin, Shanghai and Lianyungang, China and Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The company was founded in 2002 has about 100 employees.

Neptune Logistics primarily provides international train services. Its main railway lanes are China – Europe, China – CIS region, Zhengzhou – Hamburg and Zhengzhou – Duisburg. China – Europe block trains’ run time is 15 days which is 25 days shorter than ocean shipping and about 80% cheaper than air transport. The containers are GPS equipped and the whole process is monitored. Neptune provided train service from the main cities of Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin, Lianyungang, Chengdu, Chongqing, Zhengzhou and Wuhan.

In addition, Neptune Logistics plans to contract with the Guangdong government to launch Guangdong – Europe railway service.

Other than full container load (FCL) shipments, Neptune Logistics is the first logistics company in China to launch international railway transport of less than container load (LCL) cargo as a Railway Transport LCL Expert. Its LCL service covers the CIS region and collects cargo in China mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and even Korea and Japan. More and more shipments from North Asia to the CIS region route through the China railway.

As an ocean freight forwarder, Neptune Logistics has a non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) license and contracts with main ocean carriers. However, it doesn’t have as much ocean cargo volume compared to the amount of cargo it handles via railway transport, and its ocean freight is mainly destined to Europe, the Far East, Africa and South America.

Neptune Logistics also has good project logistics experience. There may be opportunities for Neptune Logistics in the big project between China and the CIS region. Neptune Logistics can handle RO/RO vessels including heavy lift and break bulk services.

To meet its customers’ requirements, Neptune Logistics can provide charter flight service from Hong Kong to the CIS region.

Neptune has a good reputation in the market. ZTE, Harbin Electric, and Colgate are customers as well as top 3PLs such as Pantos Logistics.

With its experience in international railway transport, freight forwarding and a strong customer base, Neptune Logistics should have good growth in the coming years.
